One layer card – sports

I was in the mood for crafting and noticed an interesting challenge over at the Simply Less is More blog, too bad I didn’t check the submission time, I was a bit late but it doesn’t bother me much, I finally got to use this stamp!

As the challenge was to make a one layer card with a sports theme I had to color the stamp on the card base, not very smart as the paper apparently tend to make the colors bleed. Oh well, you learn from your mistakes :)

Lukas 2 years

My cousin Lukas turns two years today so I’m heading to a birthday party in a few hours and of course, I made a card for him. I only used paper from my scrap stash this time and I got to use some of my washi tapes and alphabet stickers/thickers.
As always when I have a card to make I take a look at the ongoing challenges, this is the layout from Mojo Monday #276.

A Christening card for Jasmina

One of my cousins has got two lovely girls and the youngest of them, Jasmina, had her Christening ceremony today and I made a card with the present on, just like I did for her sister Emilia a few years ago. I even happened to find the same necklace for her.

The card says “for Jasmina on your Christening day”. I also added “from your dad’s cousins Therese and Robert” later on as it was a gift from both of us.

The patterned paper is from my Dreamcatcher paper pad by First edition paper.  I did some stamping and simple decorations and I also used my new favorite, stickles, to add some sparkles.

First card of the year!

First time I’ve made and sent a card without it being a birthday or Christmas card!  Since I felt like making a card I took my regular challenge blogs visit and noticed this week’s Mojo Monday challenge which was usable for the card I had in mind.

“When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!” Stamped and warm embossed with white embossing powder. Just love it!

Used my promarkers of course: daffodil bloom, tulip yellow, cinnamon, cocoa, lavender, leaf green and grass. Matches the paper pretty well!

The Christmas of 2012

Last year has passed and it went very fast, especially the last month. So much to do at work and home to prepare for Christmas. I didn’t even decorate my home this year. I did however make a lot of Christmas cards, mostly for selling at work where we had some sort of market/shop with stuff I and three other people make and or sell. I don’t think anyone of us sold as much as we hoped for. I did however sell two cards, one bracelet, eight angels and got 4 orders. Not too bad if I may say so myself!

Here are the cards I made and sent to my friends and family. My goal was to use up a few papers from a Christmas long, long ago. Barely made it!

My new favourite technique: coloring the card and stamping in the lighter middle, coloring parts of the stamp with promarkers and or stickles. Just love this stamp!

The Christmas presents all wrapped up and ready for Christmas eve!

All the ingredients for my Christmas candy this year, didn’t use all of it but quite much!

Chocolate dipped marshmallows with sprinkles and sort of Mozartkugeln

Mozartkugeln wrapped in stashed aluminum sheets and a few without, rocky road and my favourite: nougat and marzipan bars covered with chocolate and cut into slices. So easy to make and so damn delicious!

Most of the candy I made was wrapped up and sorted in cellophane bags as giveaways for my family. Another use for my old stashed paper and stickers! The labels which I stapled on the bags. They were very appreciated!

A very special Christmas gift for my oldest brother, I used one of my caldendar presents to color the tag, stamped the text and tied it to a bunch of papers.

A Christmas order

A colleague of mine wanted a special Christmas card for his mother, she likes Santa so I made this one for her!

I like the beard, and the fact that I got to try one of my new embossing powders (very nice) and! I used some of my old Christmas paper too!
