Me and Jennie made a birthday card for Malin. Her birthday is in April but they threw a birthday moving in together party this weekend. We made one box each and put them together so they fall out on each other. I got to make the smaller inside box. Here’s all the different pages/sides!

Mother’s day card
Today we celebrate mother’s day here in Sweden so I made a card for my mother. I had a lot of fun playing with my new stencil from memory box; chic chevron. I used another stencil from a company I can’t remember for the chicken wire.
I decided to go for a color challenge and I found this week’s Color Q challenge #242: kiwi kiss, daffodil delight, melon mambo, tempting turquoise and white. The green ink pad I found was named kiwi but looks much more bright than I expected from that name. I do however like the color combination of all of these colors! Very happy and bright!
Sunday crafting
Finally March and it feels like spring is getting closer with the warm sunshine and colorful flowers. Spring also means birthdays in my family and this first card is for my youngest brother.
I was inspired by this week’s challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #126
This second card more or less just happened, feels great to be inspired and not in a rush some times! The sketch that inspired me to make the card was this week’s challenge at Clean and simple stamping.
My choice of technique was inspired by my dear friend Jen at JenandTricks, she is also responsible for me using sequins all of a sudden, never really liked them to be honest! Or at least not the figure shaped ones we used in preschool.
My mother’s parents in law gave me this wonderful oak table when I moved a few months ago, sanded and oiled and it looks just great! So I wanted to give them something as a thanks since I got it for free, I decided to give them a nice bottle of wine and maybe some cheese so I used my new die for a wine tag and decided to enter a few more challenges this week!

Simply less is more #162: OLC + Spring flowers
And last but not least Promarker challenge #237: Flowers
I must say it has been a quite productive weekend after all, my new couch is right where it should be, I’ve been biking in the wonderful weather, the sun has been shining and I got to spend some time in my crafting closet. Happy times!
Birthday card madness part 1
March, the busiest month of the year when it comes to birthdays among my friends and family. I feel I’ve started strong this year by making two cards and it’s still February! Not sure I’ll use the second card but it’s always good to have some backup cards.
For the first card I followed this week’s mojo monday challenge #333
For the second card I followed the sketch from freshly made sketches #124
A colorful birthday card
I made another birthday card today, inspired by this week mojo monday challenge #299
I looked through my paper stash and found this icecream patterned paper from echo park which I’ve owned for years and never used. It was time!
I wanted the card to look like summer so I went for bright and happy colors, I could have used brighter/lighter colors on the gifts but I wanted it to bring out the blue and green colors from the background since the other details were pink, orange and yellow. I colored the flower with my dylusion spray london blue and added some pearl mist to lighten up the color a bit, and to add some shine of course! I might add some stickles to the stamp, I haven’t really decided yet.
The yellow ribbon is another thing that has been lying in my stash for ages, I’m not really a fan of yellow but I’m working on it on all levels, just got myself a yellow summer dress!
A birthday card
I always make my masculine cards very dark I’ve noticed, not sure why. I guess my next challenge will be to make a bright masculine card, hehe. I made this for my stepfather but I might make a new one with another theme. Now I have one as a backup if I don’t get the time to make him a second card.
I was inspired by this week’s Fab Friday sketch! I went for some matching colors from a few of my bo bunny papers I’ve sliced into 6×6’s. I added some gloss to the bike but it doesn’t show properly on the image below, and I used some stickles on the arrow to make the card a bit more fun. I had a hard time choosing the color of the card base.. white, grey or brown? I thought the brown brought the colors to life more than the white base, the grey one just made the card very meh.
The stamp is colored with pencils! That was a loooong long time ago and the only reason is me being lazy. I stamped the bike on a paper that bleed and I was too lazy to redo it on a proper piece of paper :-)
I did another rookie mistake and assembled the card before I had the sentiment stamped so I stamped on the card when almost finished! First I was going to put his age in the circle but I realized that I’ve done that for the last 10 birthday cards so I had to rethink.
